Amazon Frogbit (Limnobium laevigatum) is a floating plant with round, glossy green leaves that rest on the water’s surface, resembling miniature lily pads. Its long, trailing roots create excellent cover for fish, shrimp, and fry while helping to absorb excess nutrients and reduce algae. Thriving in calm water under moderate to high light, it grows quickly and is easy to maintain by removing or thinning excess plants. Amazon Frogbit is fish- and shrimp-safe, adds a natural touch to aquascapes, and is especially suited for open-top aquariums and ponds.
